Mathewson IGT Knowledge Center
The Knowledge Center is a five-story project designed as the centerpiece of a new north quadrangle for the University. The building features expanded areas for computer technology, general collection, multi-media, graduate studies, reading rooms and special collections arranged around a four-level atrium.
The building also has an automated book storage and retrieval system able to store over one million volumes.
The building represents a contemporary interpretation of the historic academic architecture that makes the campus core unique. Arched arcades and traditional brick detailing relate to the existing buildings and serve as a new typology for the development of the north campus.
