Field Maintenance Shop 2

Field Maintenance Shop 2 Reno, Nevada Field Maintenance Shop 2 (FMS2) at the Harry Reid Training Center provides vehicle maintenance support for the Nevada Army National Guard (NVARNG) in the Northern Nevada region. The facility has shop and storage spaces for repair and maintenance of the full complement of military vehicles operated by the NVARNG.

The space program includes 3 high-volume maintenance bays, administrative areas, and materials storage rooms. The bays have a drive-through configuration for ease of access and flexibility. The bays are equipped with a central recessed utility trench for distribution of lubricants, fluids and telecommunication service. Computer workstations are provided at each bay. A 5-ton bridge crane runs the length of the space. Natural daylight comes from clerestory windows on the south and north sides of the building.

The project includes a large service yard for vehicle circulation. FMS2 is connected to the adjacent FMS facility with sidewalks and landscaping to create a cohesive complex.
